Evaluation of raw and processed food by trained observers (analog to descriptive sensory analyses): A panel of 6-10 people who are trained in the description of emotional and physical effects from food evaluates your samples with the EmpathicFoodTest. The results are analysed statistically and supplemented by qualitative analyses of the free description of the product.
Evaluation of raw and processed food by untrained consumers (analog to sensory consumer tests): At least 60 untrained consumers evaluate the emotional and physical effects of your sample with the EmpathicFoodTest. The results are analysed statistically and supplemented by qualitative analyses of the free description of the product.
A combination of empathic food testing and sensory analysis
A performance review of consumer tests and sensory analysis is conducted in cooperation with the well-known German research service provider ttz Bremerhaven.

What is the EmpathicFoodTest?
12 bilateral questions concerning the emotional and physical impact of food are asked in the EmpathicFoodTest, according of Geier et al. (2016). A body scan analogue to an element of the concept of mindfulness stress reduction is part of the Empathic Food Test, which asks about several attributes, including awake/tired, relaxed/nervous, or warm/cold.
